Where the Starwood Strand meets the Reedcleft Ascent… Where the magics of the Windsinger and the Arcanist combine… a strange new subspecies has arisen out of the curious Fae and the flighty Spirals that make this place their home. For a long time, their Arcane natures have made them content to stay and study the phenomenon, but recently, the Wind in their bones has urged them out of their seclusion…
For as long as most clans can remember, the Windsinger and the Arcanist have been neighbors. Some say that there is great friendship between the deities, and while they themselves have never been consulted, it is true that their magics play well with each other-at least, as well as Arcane magic can play with anything. They mingle where the Starwood Strand and the Reedcleft Ascent meet, and in that nebulous area, wonders appear. One such wonder is the Wisp Mage-a dragon whose egg was laid under the influence of both Wind and Arcane magic. While one element will reign more strongly within them, there will always be a mix of both within them, leading to wild and wonderful possibilities.
The Wild SubtypeEdit
These dragons are Druids and Sorcerers. Their magic and personality are strong and unpredictable, and may even shift from one day to the next. They are most often seen conversing with animals, mutating the plants around them, or whipping up storms and riding the currents of air and magic to new destinations.
The Gilded SubtypeEdit
These dragons are Enchanters and Alchemists. Their magic lacks the sheer power of their Wild brethren, but just as the subtle breezes of Sorienth raise massive storms, so too does their magic have the ability to effect great change. They are often found gently redirecting breezes to blow on wind chimes or using their magic to make complex patterns of clouds or even of just the magic itself.
